Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 June 2026

These terms govern your use of the Cois Digital website (cois.digital) and the web design services we provide. By using our site or engaging our services, you agree to them.

Who we are

Cois Digital is a web design studio based in Ireland. You can reach us at [hello@cois.digital].

Our services

We design, build, and launch websites for small businesses, offered as the Foundation, Professional, and Custom packages described on our site. Package contents and prices shown online are indicative. The exact scope, price, and timeline for your project will be confirmed in writing (by email or a written quote) before work begins. That confirmation, together with these terms, forms our agreement.

Quotes and pricing

Prices shown on the site are starting prices and may change. Packages with a monthly fee — covering hosting, support, and updates — are billed [monthly] and continue until cancelled with [30 days'] notice. The one-off build fee is payable as set out in your quote [for example, a deposit to begin and the balance on launch].

Payment

Invoices are due within [14] days. We may pause work or suspend a live site where invoices remain unpaid. Interest and costs may apply to late commercial payments under the European Communities (Late Payment in Commercial Transactions) Regulations 2012.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide the content, images, access, and approvals we need in good time. You confirm that you own or are licensed to use any material you give us, and that it is lawful. Our two-week delivery target depends on receiving what we need from you promptly.

Intellectual property

Once your project is paid in full, you own the final website design and the content we create specifically for you. Third-party elements — such as fonts, stock images, plugins, or code libraries — remain owned by their licensors and are provided under their own licences. We keep the right to show your project in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

Cancellation and consumer rights

If you are a consumer, you may have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013. Because our work is a bespoke service, if you ask us to begin within that 14-day period you accept that you must pay for the work done up to the point you cancel, and that the right to cancel is lost once the service is fully performed. For business clients, cancellation is as set out in your quote.

Service standard and warranties

We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. Except as required by law — including the Consumer Rights Act 2022 where you deal with us as a consumer — we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or entirely error-free.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability arising from our services is limited to the fees you have paid us for the work concerned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits or data.

Termination

You may cancel a monthly support plan with [30 days'] notice. We may end our agreement if you materially breach these terms and do not put it right within a reasonable time. On termination, any sums owed become due.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on our site when you engage us is the one that applies.
